Child casting in Morocco 2026: the parents' guide
Rédaction Castizen
Children are everywhere in Moroccan advertising — milk, biscuits, back-to-school, "family" banking — and increasingly in series. But a child casting is not a casting like any other: a parent decides, a guardian signs, and rules protect the minor. This guide is written for you, parents.
- What the law and common sense require for a child on set
- The 6 questions to ask before saying yes
- The fees observed and who receives them
- How to register your child on a verified casting
What is non-negotiable
The guardian's written consent
No child shoots without the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. On Castizen, a minor's profile is submitted and approved with that consent.
An adult present
A parent or chaperone stays on set from start to finish. A serious production does not argue about it.
Suitable hours
Short days, breaks, no night shoots, school comes first. If you are offered the opposite, decline.
Image rights spelled out
The contract says on which media, in which territory and for how long the child's image is used. Read that part twice.
The 6 questions to ask before saying yes
- Who is the client, and what is the product?
- How many hours, over how many days, and at what time?
- Who accompanies the child, and where do they wait between takes?
- Which media, what duration and which territory for the image?
- What fee, paid to whom, and when?
- Is there a written contract before the shoot?
The fees observed
On Castizen, child fees range from 300 to 3,000 MAD per day depending on the role (extra, speaking part, face of a campaign) and the rights granted. The fee is paid to the legal guardian, after the shoot, through the platform's secured payment.
Spotting a scam
You are asked to pay for a "portfolio", a "registration" or a "mandatory training" before any casting? It is a scam. A serious casting is free for the talent, and the contract comes before the shoot.
Register your child
Available children by city are on Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech. To create your child's profile, you, the parent, open the account and file the consent.
